What Does The Bible Say About Men?

The Bible doesn't play around when it comes to what a real man is supposed to be. Forget the world's definition—money, muscles, bravado, or being the loudest in the room. That's all smoke and mirrors. The Word of God says a man of God is supposed to be gospel-centered, period. He puts God's Word above his own opinions, his own feelings, even above what culture says a man should be. He's submitted to God in every way, not just when it's easy or when people are watching. He's committed to reading Scripture and letting it shape him, not just coasting on autopilot or tradition.

This isn't about being macho or dominating others. It's about humility, obedience, and service—just like Jesus. The ultimate man, the Son of God, washed feet, forgave enemies, and laid down His life. That's the blueprint. Masculinity in the Bible is about being anchored in Christ, leading by serving, and being unashamed of the gospel.

Paul says it straight in 1 Corinthians 16:13—"Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." That means be alert, stand firm, act with courage, and be strong—not in your own power, but in Christ. Why? Because the gospel is the power of God. You're not called to be a lone wolf or a tough guy; you're called to be a man who points to Jesus, who leads with love, and who stands on the truth no matter what.
