What Does The Bible Say About Job Interviews?

God's word doesn't talk about job interviews directly—there were no resumes or LinkedIn profiles in the Bible! But the heart of the matter is this: whatever job you pursue, whatever interview you walk into, the main thing is to keep your eyes on the gospel. The Bible says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God" (Matthew 6:33 KJV). That means, whether you're a barber, a chef, a teacher, or a techie, your real job is to believe in Jesus and share the good news wherever you go.

A job is just a platform—a place where you meet people who need hope, who need to hear about Jesus. It's not about climbing the corporate ladder or impressing the boss. It's about using every opportunity, even a job interview, to reflect Christ. If the job gives you a chance to connect with others and share the gospel, that's a job worth considering! And even if you don't mention Jesus in the interview, you can still carry His heart, His love, and His truth into that room.

So, don't stress about the interview itself. Focus on being gospel-centered—let your words, your attitude, and your purpose point back to Jesus. That's what matters most!
